Gerringong, Seacliff House

The drive to Gerringong always feels like stepping into a postcard. As the cityscape of Sydney fades in the rearview mirror, the rolling green hills and glimpses of the Pacific Ocean signal the start of something special. This time, the destination was the stunning Seacliff House, where Julia and Zach were about to write the next chapter of their love story.

Our journey began with a winding road through dairy country, a landscape that whispers of the area's Irish immigrant history. As we approached Seacliff House, just two hours south of Sydney, the views of the Pacific Ocean unfolded before us, setting the stage for a truly memorable celebration.

Julia and Zach's love story has a touch of whimsy to it – they met while working at McDonald's, a detail they beautifully incorporated into their reception by treating their guests to a tray of cheeseburgers at the end of the night. It's these personal touches that make each wedding unique, and as a filmmaker, I live for capturing these moments.

The day unfolded with a sense of genuine love and intimacy, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Julia and Zach's excitement to tie the knot was palpable, and the talented Adam, their celebrant, crafted a ceremony that perfectly reflected their journey.

Seacliff House: A Coastal Dream

Seacliff House provided a stunning backdrop for the festivities. The venue's unique blend of protected natural beauty and elegant design created a setting that felt both grand and intimately connected to the surrounding landscape. As we moved through the day, from the ceremony to the reception, the changing light over the ocean added a dynamic element to our filming.

A Symphony of White and Blue

The wedding's aesthetic was a beautiful harmony of white and blue. From the florals crafted by Seathistle Floriography to Julia's pearl earrings, every detail contributed to a cohesive and elegant atmosphere. These carefully chosen elements not only looked beautiful on camera but also reflected the coastal setting perfectly.

One of the highlights of the day was escorting Julia and Zach down to the beach for their photoshoot. Working alongside Samuel White Weddings, we captured the newlyweds walking hand in hand in the sand, with the vast ocean as their backdrop. These moments, where couples can take a breath and soak in their new reality, always produce some of the most genuine and touching footage.

The Team Behind the Scenes

A wedding day is a collaborative effort, and Julia and Zach's celebration was no exception. Danh Doan worked magic with makeup, while Chelsea Taylor created stunning hairstyles. As the sun set, The Gelato Bike provided a sweet treat for guests, and DJ Zanin kept the dance floor alive. Behind it all, Planned by Page ensured every detail was executed flawlessly.

A Day to Remember

As the night drew to a close, with cheeseburgers in hand and love in the air, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to document such a special day. Julia and Zach's wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do – capturing genuine moments of joy, love, and celebration in stunning locations like Seacliff House.

For couples dreaming of a coastal wedding that blends natural beauty with elegance, Seacliff House in Gerringong offers a truly unique experience. Julia and Zach's day was a testament to the magic that can happen when love, location, and a touch of personal flair come together.

Thank you, Julia and Zach, for letting Hidden Leaf be part of your story. Here's to love, laughter, and a lifetime of happiness.

– Travis
